mbatE2008: a series: part 1: i miss syria

time is passing. promises of blogging about middle east trip, i'm sure, were seeming more and more empty. thank you, dear readers, for your patience.

tonight your patience is being rewarded (sort of). tonight welcomes part one in a non-continuous, whimsical blogging series of mbatE2008.

i'm kicking off the series with a photo mosaic introducing syria. of course. because syria won over our hearts immediately. "i miss syria" was a near daily phrase whilst in jordan and israel. not that we didn't enjoy those other countries (well, there was some fist shaking in jordan...but that's a post for another time), but i think we both left our hearts in syria.

OH, I love Syria too and don't even really have any idea what I'm looking at. Does that guy have Rapunzel-like sheep hair (i.e. wool) coming out his window?? Awesome!

Forget the Mojave. Let's take a road trip to Syria...
